*I couldn’t think of a witty title*

One of my new year’s resolutions for this year was to write more. The more I think about it, the more I see that I’m usually the guy who has a good thought or hears something good but never writes it down. You know what they say about that guy, right? I don’t know either. I didn’t write it down.

Creative self-expression has never been my strong suit either. This blog has, at one time or another, been my attempt at expressing myself in a way that is creative/entertaining and/or insightful. Fail on all those.

So for this year, I’ve decided to die to myself in those areas, since they’re probably borne more or less out of my own pride. I’m going to try to write more- to process and sift through the jungles that are the random thoughts that cross my mind and then distill them here every couple days with absolutely no intention of being creative, entertaining, witty or anything besides being semi-coherent (and even that for my own sake, so I can come back and read what I’ve written with some degree of clarity.)

Along the way, maybe I’ll have a nugget or two that someone will find interesting, though that will be completely accidental and unintentional.

Here’s to another small step.
